You will be ensuring the delivery of high-quality guest experiences, leading, training, and inspiring the spa team to consistently meet and exceed service expectations while maintaining the spa's atmosphere and ambiance. You will also manage administrative tasks, such as scheduling, inventory control, and budgeting, while collaborating with other departments to promote spa services. Additionally, you will ensure all treatments meet health and safety regulations, and you will drive marketing efforts to boost guest engagement and revenue. As an Assistant Spa Manager, you’re not just overseeing daily spa operations – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

  • Oversee daily spa operations: Manage guest service, product quality, inventory, systems, and departmental budgets to ensure smooth and effective spa performance
  • Maximize revenue opportunities: Develop spa menus and implement marketing and merchandising strategies to support revenue growth and enhance the guest experience
  • Maintain spa facilities: Ensure spa areas and equipment are well-maintained, clean, and in excellent working order
  • Enhance guest satisfaction: Monitor service trends, respond to feedback, and implement improvements to elevate the overall spa experience
  • Inspire and develop the team: Supervise, coach, and mentor team members; conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and recognize achievements to build, engage, and retain a high-performing team
  • Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing
  • Inventory & Resource Management: Manage spa supplies, products, and equipment inventory, ensuring timely reordering and effective cost control while maintaining quality standards. Oversee vendor relationships and ensure all treatment products are high-quality and meet guest expectations.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a spa management or supervisory role, preferably in a luxury or hotel setting.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong understanding of spa treatments, products, and wellness trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-centric approach.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and spa operations.
