Position The Standard Spa, Miami as the premier National retreat, yoga, Pilates, spa and integral living center. Service superb customer service and building each guests spa experience. Service guests ensuring our presentation, spa feel and touch, evokes guests senses. Manage Spa Team, Staff, Contractors in at all times providing service excellence and customized and personal experience. Lead by example, ensuring each guests experience is personal and unique, suggest and interact to upgrade, up sell and promote all spa and wellness programming. Inspire, motivate and propel The Standard Spa Culture and Dynamic. Welcome and provide continuous updated information, promotions, program, events and assistance to all guests and members, retreat groups as well as input in software and internal communications and operations are seamless. Maintain spa ambiance and attention to detail at all times. Handle and process all appointments, protocols, payments, operational systems and needs according to established requirements. Provide, distribute, maintain and build database of client, guest and contact interest. Constantly recognize service opportunities and areas of development and improvement to service the guests and facilitate and coordinate The Standard Spa experience.

  • Manage protocols at standards to service exceptionally all guests, recognizing VIP levels, members and local guests
  • Excel in Spa Team Guest Service, Spa Service Levels, Consulting Guests, Qoyle Standards, Training and Protocols and Retail Sales Protocols with recommendations and team Rx Pads
  • Spa Operations
  • Spa Presentation, Ambiance to standard
  • Manage maintenance repair schedules and projects, Hotsos, Night Cleaning and Walk throughs
  • Spa Reports & Analysis
  • Weekly Reports, Variance Reports
  • Budget, Capital Schedule
  • Spa Meetings, Morning Meetings & HOD
  • Spa Therapist Hire, Training, Protocols, Schedules
  • Spa Booker Entry of Programming, Spa Services and Spa Specials
  • Operations Spa Coordinators & Spa Reservationists
  • Operations Spa Bath Attendants
  • Operational responsibilities, include see spa team execute inventory, receiving shipments protocol, ecommerce shipping, retail look, stock items, presentation
  • Operational Products, Supplies, Equipment, Uniforms, etc.
  • Oversee monthly inventories, back bar items, service rooms products, supplies and presentation
  • Linen Purchase & Inventories
  • Laundry Operations
  • Spa Administrative
  • Checkbooks, PO and Accounting
  • Spa Hire, Reviews and PAFs
  • Spa Time Pro, Ulti Pro, HR Documents
  • Spa Payroll
  • Schedule Programming with Spa Director and Wellbeing Supervisor, service and facilitate promotions, events, spa & wellness programming and spa specials.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Assistant Spa Director involves working in all spa areas:

  • Under variable conditions
  • Under variable noise levels
  • Outdoors + Indoors
  • Around fumes and/or odor hazards
  • Around dust and/or mite hazards
  • Around chemicals
  • Spa dress code
  • Always presentable and available to service the guest experience

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal: Spa Director, Spa Managers, Spa Yoga Wellbeing Coordinator, Spa Membership Director, Spa Membership Coordinators, Poolside Spa Coordinators, Manager on Duty, Spa Bath Attendants, Staff in Spa, Gym, Pool, Food and Beverage, PBX, Reservations, Front Desk, Laundry, Housekeeping, Accounting and Engineering.

External: Hotel guest/Spa guest/members/visitors, PR Relations, Vendors.



Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  1. High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
  2. Compute basic arithmetic.
  3. Fluency in English both verbally and nonverbally.
  4. Provide legible communication and directions.
  5. Ability to:
    • Maintain service excellence and willingness to please and service guests at all times
    • Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
    • Prioritize and organize.
    • Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
    • Follow directions thoroughly.
    • Understand guest/member's service needs.
    • Work cohesively with coworkers building the spa experience and team.
    • Work with minimal supervision.
    • Maintain confidentiality of guest/member information and pertinent resort data.
  6. Ability to ensure input and access information to established requirements in the property management system/computers/point of sales system.
  7. Ability to manage protocols, money, cashier and drawers, computer, guest service schedules, staff.
  8. Ability to manage sales and service protocols.

Desirable:

  1. Some college or training in Hospitality Industry.
  2. Previous experience as Spa Manager.
  3. Fluency in a foreign language, preferably Spanish.
  4. Ability to suggestively sell,
  5. Certification in CPR.
  6. Previous guest/member relations training.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

  1. Exert physical effort in transporting supplies (30 pounds) to areas within the resort and spa.
  2. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
  3. Reach 4 feet.
  4. Remain in a standing and stationary position for 3 hours throughout work shift.
  5. Satisfactorily communicate with guest/members, management and coworkers to their understanding.
