The University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) is seeking an energetic, collaborative, and student-focused Assistant Softball Coach to help lead a competitive NCAA Division II softball program. Located in South Carolina's beautiful Lowcountry, USCB offers the opportunity to build your collegiate coaching career while supporting student-athletes in an engaging university environment near Hilton Head Island and Savannah, Georgia.
The Assistant Softball Coach works closely with the Head Coach to support the overall management and success of the softball program. This position assists with practice preparation and instruction, recruiting prospective student-athletes, team travel arrangements, student managers, and other day-to-day program operations.
We are looking for a coach who brings enthusiasm, professionalism, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to the academic, athletic, and personal development of student-athletes.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to sportsmanship, integrity, teamwork, student success, and NCAA compliance, while adhering to all applicable policies, procedures, rules, and regulations established by USCB, the University of South Carolina, the NCAA, the Peach Belt Conference, and the State of South Carolina.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Master's degree preferred. Experience in the NCAA DI or DII. Recruiting experience in NCAA DI or DII.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of sport rules and regulations as well as NCAA DII rules and regulations. Superior oral and written communication skills; effective organization and communication skills; strong computer skills. Skilled in the use of a personal computer, Microsoft Office Suites, 643 Charts. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, colleagues, student-athletes and subordinates.
