Position Summary Information
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Softball Coach with the leadership, administration, and daily operation of the softball program.
Recruit, retain, and develop student-athletes in accordance with NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations.
Assist with practice planning, skill instruction, player development, and team training activities.
Assist with game preparation, scouting, opponent analysis, and competition management.
Support the coordination of team travel, equipment, scheduling, and operational logistics.
Promote academic achievement, personal development, and overall well-being of student-athletes.
Assist with organizing and conducting camps, clinics, and other program-related events.
Support fundraising, community engagement, and alumni outreach initiatives.
Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and University policies and procedures.
Maintain positive relationships with student-athletes, faculty, staff, alumni, and community stakeholders.
Collaborate with athletics administration and campus partners to support departmental goals and initiatives.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Softball Coach or Director of Athletics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
Demonstrated coaching, communication, and organizational skills
Knowledge of collegiate athletics operations and NCAA regulations

Master’s degree preferred
