MOBILIA INTERIORS INC., a leader in contemporary home furnishings for over 60 years, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Assistant Selling Manager to join our team!

Your Role:

As an Assistant Selling Manager, you lead from the floor. You are actively engaged in selling, working with customers, closing your own sales, and contributing to the management of the store and the development of your team.

You are first and foremost a strong salesperson, using your expertise and credibility to coach, motivate, and develop those around you.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will also take responsibility for daily operations and act as Manager on Duty in their absence.

Responsibilities

Sales and Customer Experience

• Work directly with customers on the sales floor, build trust-based relationships, and close your own sales.
• Achieve your individual sales targets while contributing to the store’s budget, average ticket, and closing rate.
• Set the standard for customer service and ensure every customer receives an exceptional experience.

Sales Floor Leadership

• Supervise the sales floor to ensure no customer is left waiting and every visit is handled professionally.
• Maintain the highest standards of customer service.
• Act as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence and oversee daily store operations.

Business Development

• Identify and implement strategies and initiatives aimed at exceeding store objectives.
• Support the Store Manager in improving productivity and profitability, including sales growth, staffing, and inventory results.

Team Development

• Participate in recruiting Sales Consultants with a strong presence and excellent communication skills.
• Train and coach team members on our products, marketing, operations, customer service, and selling techniques.
• Motivate and develop the team to achieve store objectives.
• Foster teamwork and ensure employees and customers are treated with professionalism, respect, and courtesy.

Profile Sought:

• Retail sales experience with a proven track record of achieving targets.
• Experience supervising, coaching, or leading a team, or a strong desire to take the next step in your career.
• Comfortable selling big-ticket items and guiding customers through a considered purchase.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional presence.
• Bilingual in French and English, depending on the store location.
• Available to work retail hours, including evenings and weekends.
