Job Category: Sales, MPD Components, Inc. manufactures avionic components and subassemblies, including microwave components, electron tubes, ceramic/meal seal assemblies, and precision metal and ceramic parts. Customers served include Aerospace, Medical, Industrial, and Communications OEMs.

The Assistant Sales and Administration Manager will assist the Sales and Office Manager as a point of contact for all sales/service, and office administration. It will have in-depth product knowledge and will support Management by calling customers, assisting with selling products and services over the phone, visiting potential clients, setting appointments, and processing sales administration.

Primary Responsibilities

• Process customer orders and respond promptly to incoming communications from customers regarding the company products and services, prices, and scheduling / shipment of products and services.
• Serve as a secondary Customer Service point of contact for the company.
• Monitor service work order turnaround time and manage service activity assuring all service procedures are adhered to with efficiency and high service standards.
• Assist in the processing and monitoring of Return Merchandise Authorizations.
• Collaborate with the Sales and Office Manager and higher management by providing information on customer leads, concerns, questions and requirements.
• Act as a customer advocate within the Corporation.
• Assist in setting pricing by the direction / input of the Sales and Office Manager
• Able to follow proper accounting and auditing procedures / instructions. Provide proper reporting of sales, returns, etc. Properly file important business documents.
• Assist in ensuring appropriate inventory levels are maintained in the warehouse.
• Conduct basic administrative procedures to meet customer requirements.
• Any other duty as assigned by the Sales and Office Manager or higher management.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will have extensive experience in customer service or sales, with excellent reading comprehension and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in all mediums.
• Prior management experience, an Associates Degree in Business , or prior military service is preferred.
