About this position: Assistant Safety ManagerLocation – El Paso, TX

Wage/Salary Range: $32.22 per hr.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide daily site safety assessments and training for specific contractor activities.
  • Review and assess contractor safety plans and activity hazard analysis.
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Input safety reports
  • Assist Safety Manager with operations.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

· Education Requirements:

· Level of Experience Requirements:

  • At least two (2) years of continuous industry safety experience in supervising/managing (safety programs, processes or conducting hazard analyses and developing controls).
  • Ability to obtain Certified Safety Specialist within 1 year or employment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Suite
  • Current favorable National Agency Check with Inquiry (NACI), in accordance with AR 380-67
  • Valid Driver’s License

Supervisory Responsibilities

· This position will have supervisory responsibilities.

DOT Covered/Safety-Sensitive Role Requirements

· This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.

The employee will work in a temperature-controlled office environment, as well as on site. Job sites may be outdoors, or indoors. During visits to sites, the individual may be exposed to: extreme cold or hot weather conditions.

Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
