Assist with the coordination, scheduling, and maintenance of pupil transportation routes for regular and special needs programs districtwide to support safe, efficient, timely, and economical transportation services. Provide administrative and operational support to the Route Coordinator and Director of Transportation in maintaining accurate route information, communicating service changes, and ensuring compliance with district policies, procedures, and applicable state requirements. Daily dispatch coordination with Assistant Director of Transportation.
High school diploma or GED
Must be 18 years of age
Valid Texas Driver's License
Ability to read maps, interpret route information, and learn district roads, attendance boundaries, campus schedules, and transportation procedures.
Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, organization, data entry, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple calls, radio traffic, and changing priorities while remaining calm and accurate under pressure
Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and electronic records; ability to learn Tyler Traversa, SMART tag, and district dispatch and tracking systems.
Ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential student and employee information appropriately.
Ability to work cooperatively with transportation staff, campus personnel, parents, and students
Ability to follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures
Experience in dispatch, transportation operations, routing, customer service or administrative support preferred; school transportation experience strongly preferred.
