About the Role

You will be working in a fast-paced organization that promotes cross-functional collaboration and applying your professional knowledge and expertise to
build a strong risk culture across Bowtie, ensuring we operate within the risk appetite of the company.
The risk team has opportunities to immerse themselves in a fast-paced startup environment and to gain hands-on experience in developing and applying the risk management framework within an insurance company.

Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, you will be working side-by-side with people from different teams and backgrounds, whether it’s with our security engineers to understand modern cybersecurity exposures or our marketing team on risk assessment of new ideas, you will be an integral part of the risk management function. At the core of this, you’d be responsible for:

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

• Helping to build the unique risk culture of Hong Kong’s 1 st virtual insurer
• Applying quantitative and qualitative approaches in risk management per governance policy
• Supporting the production of Own Risk Solvency Assessment (ORSA) reviews and processes
• Understanding of Hong Kong’s regulatory environment and the application of relevant guidelines
• Building automated processes to apply governance policy and requirements
• On top of gaining hands-on experiences, you will also get to see the bigger picture and be involved in decision-making process.

About you

• 4-6 years of risk management experience or similar roles in insurance (actuarial, finance, audit)
• Strong quantitative background with an understanding of risk management fundamentals
• Problem-solving mindset coupled with strong communication skills
• Technical knowledge of insurance (i.e. Risk-Based Capital)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, in particular, MS Excel
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
