We’re looking for an 2nd Shift Assistant Retread Manager to join our team and play a critical role in our daily operations. This dynamic position supports the daily operations within the retreading facility by ensuring production efficiency, quality control, inventory management, and adherence to safety regulations. This position requires prior experience in the retreading process, strong leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

What You’ll Do:
• Assist facility operations in supervising and coordinating daily retread production
• Support hiring, training, and development of retread technicians to maintain a skilled and productive team
• Help plan and manage production schedules, ensuring workflow efficiency and timely order fulfillment
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of materials, supplies, and finished products to prevent shortages or excess
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure all retreaded tires meet industry and company standards
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to prevent downtime and ensure operational efficiency
• Identify and troubleshoot issues in the production process, taking corrective action as needed
• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation for tracking performance and improvements
• Monitor employee performance, providing coaching feedback, and address any personnel issues as needed
• Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall operations through process optimization
• Act as a liaison between production staff and upper management, communicating any challenges or opportunities for improvement
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies to maintain a safe work environment
• Ensure Pomp’s Eight personal Safety Commitments (“Safety Spokes”) and expect and encourage other to do the same

What You Need:
• High school Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a commercial tire retread facility preferred
• Prior experience within the retreading process and best practices, including for knowledge of industry safety standards and compliance regulations
• Prior experience in inventory management and production scheduling a plus
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to operational challenges
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with MaddenCo and BASys for sales and manufacturing reports (or willingness to learn)
• Regularly lift, upright, push, or move 50 pounds; occasionally upright, push, or move 100+ pounds
