Set amongst the macadamia and avocado orchards in the Alstonville hills, Summerland Farm is much more than a café or retail store. We welcome visitors to eat, shop, explore, play and experience our working farm, and we’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic people to help us make their visit a great one.

We’re looking for Casual Retail & Tourism Assistants to join our Hospitality & Tourism team.

There’s plenty of variety. Depending on your skills and the day, you could be serving customers in our café and retail store, helping in the restaurant, supporting a function or event, assisting with tours and activities, or helping visitors enjoy everything the Farm has to offer.

What you’ll be doing

• Welcoming visitors and providing genuinely great customer service
• Serving food, drinks and retail products
• Supporting tours, activities, functions and events
• Helping keep our visitor spaces looking their best
• Working across different areas of the Farm as part of a supportive team
• Learning new skills across hospitality, retail and tourism

Who we’re looking for

You don’t need years of experience. We’re much more interested in finding people who are friendly, reliable, willing to learn and happy to get stuck in.

You’ll need to:

• Enjoy working with people and being part of a team
• Be reliable and bring a positive attitude to work
• Be comfortable working in a busy, customer-facing environment
• Be available for weekend work, with some evening and public holiday shifts as required
