Assistant Resident Engineer - Civil (Roads & Utilities)
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talentedAssistant Resident Engineer – Civil (Roads & Utilities)to join our construction supervision team in Abu Dhabi.
In this role, you will support the delivery of key civil infrastructure works, including roadworks, utilities. The position requires strong site coordination skills, quality oversight, and the ability to contribute effectively to client-facing project delivery.
What You'll Be Doing:
Support the Resident Engineer with daily field engineering and supervision, including constructability reviews and monitoring work in progress.
Review drawings and specifications for revision compliance; coordinate with design disciplines to ensure compliant execution.
Provide first-level QA by reviewing contractor submittals, verifying compliance with plans, specifications, standards and resolving technical issues.
Ensure required tests and inspections are carried out, witnessed, documented and supervise inspection staff as required.
Track project progress and schedule performance, prepare reports and updates for the Resident Engineer.
Monitor material procurement and deliveries; maintain supplier data, technical catalogs and project records.
Maintain daily logs, discipline turnover records; coordinate with contractors and stakeholders, enforce HSE requirements and hazard controls.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with equivalency certificate (as applicable).
8–10 years experience in construction supervision and delivery of roads, utilities and general infrastructure works.
ADM/DMT practice license / approval.
Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authorities’ regulations and approvals process.
Excellent site coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar engineering and design software/tools .
PMP certification will be an advantage.
Strong understanding on Quality Assurance Specifications and Statistical Quality Control.
