Job Description

The Director of the NYU Graduate Certificate Program in Culture & Media seeks a Assistant Research Scientist to assist with an assessment of the program's impact on alumni careers.

The Assistant Research Scientist will help design an interview protocol, conduct qualitative interviews with approximately 8–10 alumni who completed the Certificate Program within the past decade, and prepare written summaries and findings based on the interviews.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $30 per hour. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

The preferred start date is June 8. The position is for 1 month at 4 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Anthropology.
  • Recent graduate of the NYU Graduate Certificate Program in Culture & Media.
  • Experience with qualitative research methods, interviewing, and writing research summaries.
