Job Description

Key Accountabilities of the role

Portfolio Growth and Financial Targets:

  1. Assist in achieving assigned financial and non-financial objectives.
  2. Support the management and growth of portfolios, focusing on increasing liabilities, FX, fees, and trade transactions while meeting overall financial targets.
  3. Aid in ensuring portfolio growth compared to the previous year.
  4. Assist in identifying and seizing cross-selling opportunities to enhance revenue streams.
  5. Help implement strategies to maximize portfolio growth while minimizing risk, supporting regular SWOT analyses.
  6. Support efforts in cross-selling to increase product share per customer, aiding in maximizing revenue from the existing portfolio.
  7. Assist in targeting high transactional and high-value balance companies for onboarding.
  8. Support regular visits and calls with clients to maintain rapport and identify new business opportunities.
  9. Assist in reporting on portfolio activities, achievements, and challenges to management, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  10. Aid in proactively seeking new business opportunities and referrals from existing clients.
  11. Assist in conducting financial assessments accurately to understand clients’ needs and risk tolerance.
  12. Support the identification and cultivation of new business relationships with potential clients through networking and prospecting activities

Client Relationship Management and Customer Service:

  1. Support in serving all clients, particularly focusing on the elite segment.
  2. Aid in enhancing relationships with business banking customers, prioritizing the elite segment in financial and service aspects.
  3. Support the service of all clients with a particular focus on the elite segment.
  4. Assist in communicating regularly with clients to foster growth and satisfaction, addressing complaints promptly and providing excellent service.
  5. Aid in utilizing various communication channels to maintain strong client relationships, focusing on the elite segment.
  6. Assist in enhancing relationships with business banking customers, prioritizing the elite segment in financial and service aspects.
  7. Maintain professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions with clients and internal stakeholders.

Portfolio Risk Monitoring:

  1. Help maintain awareness of risk parameters including AML, compliance, and regulations.
  2. Assist in providing necessary inquiries and documents to the compliance department.
  3. Support the identification and assessment of potential risks or suspicious activities.
  4. Aid in monitoring customer transactions for signs of risk or non-compliance.
  5. Assist in conducting ongoing due diligence and updating customer records accordingly.
  6. Assist in reviewing and updating client profiles and risk ratings regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Professional Development and Adaptability:

  1. Support staying updated on banking products, services, and industry trends.
  2. Participate in training and development opportunities.
  3. Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing needs, including working in multiple locations.
  4. Collaborate effectively with internal teams and partners.
  5. Adhere to organizational policies and regulatory guidelines
  6. Contribute to meeting or exceeding targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:

Minimum Requirements for Assistant Relationship Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in banking or financial services
  • Excellent knowledge of business banking, trade products, and foreign exchange rates.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in customer complaint resolution and service delivery.
