The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) Private Banking supports one or more Relationship Manager(s) (RM)/ Team Head(s) (TH) in daily operations, administration, client care and relationship management. The ARM interacts with internal as well as external stakeholders, provides clients with relevant information and supports the RM in implementing customized solutions. Furthermore, the ARM acts as role model in bringing the best service quality to the RMs/TH in a fast, professional and friendly manner, always living the Julius Baer values (Care, Passion and Excellence) and thus helping the team to manage and grow its current client base. He/she channels client feedback to the relevant individuals/departments within the Bank to foster continuous improvement and fast adaptation of processes. This position is the backbone of Client Relationship Management.

YOUR CHALLENGE

Client Administration & Management

  • Sup ports RM sTH in client interaction and all related tasks (sy stems, pr ocesses, files, documents etc.) with high-q uality, pr ecision and timely resp onsiveness
  • Customizes client req uests (rep orting, statistics, mailings etc)
  • M anages the RM THs calendar, pr ep ares client meetings, organizes b usiness trip s, comp letes the p ost pr ocessing of client calls, client meetings or b usiness trips for RM sTH
  • Comp iles pr esentations, sup ports in drafting investment pr op osals and in marketing activities if needed (client recep tion, meetings, b usiness trip s, events etc)
  • Ensures coverage in case of own ab sences

B usiness Management

  • Regularly collects and exchanges relevant information necessary for the job
  • Organises himselfherself in an efficient and comp liant manner and ensures timely and ap propriate information of the sup erior
  • Conducts reviews, p lans ahead and documents hisher work at all times
  • Sup ports RM TH in imp lementation of pr ojects and initiatives
  • Provides pr ofessional inp ut pr op osals for impr ovements b ased on exp erience, incident occurrence or ob servation
  • M anages the exp ense claim pr ocess for RM sTH

Risk M anagement & Controls

  • Actively helps managing risk (support first line of defence), i.e. in client documentation, by raising concerns, following up on issues and by escalating when in doubt
  • Ensures adherence to local regulations and comp liance with internal p olicies and standards (eg new account op enings, p ay ment instructions, reviewing client p hone calls or signing off at own level of comp etence etc) in collab oration with the resp ective RMs and TH
  • Ensures timely clearance of p ending items and escalated deficiencies
  • Ensures ap propr iate ethical and comp liant b ehaviour in hisher area of resp onsib ility
  • Ensures correct, meaningful and understandable documentation of client interactionclient orders in the corresp onding tool (eg CRM, DiAS)

Education and Experience

  • Relevant educational (bank ap prenticeship or eq uivalent) and pr ofessional b ackground (work exp erience in the financial industry)
  • Good language skills (verb al and written) according to sp ecific market req uirements
  • Proven track record in servicing b anking clients with comp lex needs (onb oarding of new, maintaining and extending current relationship s)
