• Salary ranges from $102,936 to $113,579 + super & leave loading.
• Temporary, Fulltime - 12 months opportunity with the possibility of extension
• Based at Sydney Olympic Park location – flexible work arrangements will be considered.

About the role

The Office of Sport is seeking an organised and motivated Assistant Regulatory Officer to support the regulation of combat sports and motor vehicle sports across NSW. Working within the Regulation Unit, you will provide regulatory advice, administer licensing and registration processes, conduct research and analysis, and contribute to the development of policies and initiatives that support effective industry regulation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their experience in regulation, compliance, policy and stakeholder engagement while contributing to meaningful outcomes for sporting organisations, industry participants and the broader community.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely regulatory advice and information to support compliance with legislation, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Administer licensing, registration, permit and other statutory processes in accordance with legislative and regulatory frameworks.
• Conduct research, analysis and reporting activities that support policy development, regulatory initiatives and informed decision-making.

About you

You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a regulatory or administrative environment. You have strong communication skills, can manage competing priorities and are confident engaging with a range of stakeholders.

You enjoy researching issues, analysing information and contributing practical solutions. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering high-quality customer service and upholding professional and ethical standards in everything you do.

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrated experience undertaking regulatory activities and applying legislation, policies or regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience contributing to or delivering complex projects.

To be eligible to apply for this position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident or hold a valid Australian working Visa for the duration of the appointment. Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory National Police Check and pre-employment checks.
