Assistant Regional Operations Manager

Based in Hackney, London, E9 – Working across London

£49,415 per year (pro rata) plus Company Car

40 hours per week – Shifts to be worked from 8:00am to 16:30pm over a 6 day rolling rota

Temporary position for up to 6 months

We have new and exciting opportunity for an Assistant Regional Operations Manager to join our dedicated and newly established Rapid Response team in London. Supporting the Regional Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient delivery of maintenance services across a diverse property portfolio. You’ll help lead teams, oversee operational performance, drive highquality service standards and ensure our customers receive timely, reliable and professional support every day.

Working in a dynamic environment, you’ll use your strong organisational skills, leadership experience and operational insight to resolve challenges, support teams on the ground, and help maintain safe, wellmanaged homes. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will make a real impact, contributing to continuous improvement and supporting the smooth running of daytoday regional operations.

The role of Assistant Regional Operations Manager will include:

  • Supporting in the regional monitoring, management and completion of all customer works, through self-delivery teams, suppliers and subcontractors, limiting and mitigating risks associated with building non availability and BAU, ensuring KPIs are met or exceeded
  • Supporting the senior management team to develop and maintain process improvement through the creation of an innovative environment for operational employees to have creative thought sharing processes and tools
  • Working closely with the Housing and Property Services teams to support with the continual improvement of business processes and procedures, which benefit our customers
  • Managing the recruitment, performance and development of quality employees to ensure that the required skilled people are available to meet the needs of the service, to include supporting the development of succession plans to meet potential changes in team structure and business growth
  • Taking the lead in the identification and allocation of resources to ensure effective use of self-delivery teams in line with financial and operational requirements

Skills and experiences:

  • To ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to Degree, HND or HNC in Construction or Management and NEBOSH National Diploma – Construction. Or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
  • Experience of managing multi-site maintenance contracts in a commercially focussed role
  • Experience of operating within a performance focussed environment, delivering key performance indicators
  • Proven track record managing a direct labour operation or internal maintenance service
  • Demonstrate achievement in supporting the successful delivery of projects
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
