The Assistant Property Manager plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of PPL’s affordable housing properties. Working closely with the Property Manager, this role blends customer service, compliance, and operational support to ensure our communities are well-managed, welcoming, and compliant with affordable housing requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leasing & Marketing

  • Support unit marketing efforts and show apartments to prospective residents
  • Process applications and assist with move-ins

Compliance & Documentation

  • Complete income certifications and annual recertifications
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in Yardi and Excel

Resident Relations

  • Serve as a friendly, professional point of contact for residents
  • Respond to inquiries and support community engagement efforts

Rent Collection & Financial Support

  • Assist with rent collection and monitor delinquencies
  • Support basic financial tracking and reporting

Property Operations

  • Conduct site inspections and support property upkeep
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff and help ensure curb appeal

Administrative Support

  • Maintain organized files and reports
  • Assist with budgeting and operational documentation

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Solid problem-solving and organizational abilities
  • Financial analysis skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of property management, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Familiarity with supportive-service housing environments and low-income housing funding mechanisms (preferred)
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Must have valid drivers’ license and drive own vehicle from site to site

Education & Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service, property management, real estate, or a related field
  • Related post-secondary coursework is a plus
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
