Clean Energy Ventures, a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is seeking an Assistant Project Manager I to assist with the review and execution of construction RFPs and EPCs for the various distributed power projects. Provides oversight of the construction and implementation of multiple renewable energy projects in addition to the development of multiple renewable energy opportunities in execution of the Clean Energy Ventures project plan.
Major Responsibilities
• Oversees the construction of all capital projects (commercial solar, wind, CHP, Midstreams) while working closely with our external “owner’s representative” to ensure that projects are completed as designed, budgeted and scheduled.
• Effectively represents the company and maintains relationships with EPC contractors, owner’s representatives and property owners through inspections, system overviews and technical support meetings.
• Conducts inspections, requiring the interpretation and implementation of contract specifications; note any deficiencies, record on a punch list, and direct the contractor to effect remediation and ensure that contractors perform remediation activities.
• Oversees electrical and construction plans and commissioning and testing program for new commercial solar and CHP projects.
• Actively manages the permitting and interconnection process to closeout.
• Performs maintenance inspections of commercial solar and wind assets and schedule repairs as needed with the contractors.
• Participates in the asset management process to determine deficiencies in project performance.
• Assists with the preparation of various reports and presentations for senior NJR management.
• Maintains effective internal and external contacts; work in the spirit of cooperation that fosters teamwork and a sense of responsibility.
• Provides support to Business Development during the preliminary phase and conduct due diligence for all Clean Energy Ventures’ Renewable Energy Projects to determine project feasibility.
• Reviews contracts and exhibits during the contractual phase – distribute to relevant parties for review and acceptance.
• Works with contractors and CEV’s project needs to come to consensus on project milestones.
• Performs data analyses in tandem with performance testing to verify site readings are accurate and the system is performing as expected.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Experience in Project Management or related field required
• Knowledge of larger commercial solar projects, smaller residential solar applications and onshore wind projects is helpful
• MS Office proficiency and effective communication skills required.
• Travel required – 50%-75%

Other Details:
Job Location Type is Hybrid.
Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $66,300- $84,500.
Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.
This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
