Assistant Project Manager – Infrastructure Construction

Vector Talent Solutions is a veteran-owned workforce solutions firm dedicated to helping organizations identify, attract, and hire top talent. We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a client in the construction and infrastructure industry.

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support infrastructure construction projects in Colorado and Utah. Working alongside project managers and field leadership, this person will help coordinate schedules, track costs, maintain project documentation, and keep teams informed from planning through closeout.

The ideal candidate has construction project experience, strong organizational skills, and an interest in growing into a project management role. Electrical construction and data center experience are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers with planning, day-to-day coordination, and closeout.
• Help track schedules, budgets, costs, change orders, and project deliverables.
• Coordinate with field teams, engineering, subcontractors, and clients to keep work moving.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, meeting notes, and action items.
• Assist with estimating, procurement, contract administration, and financial forecasts.
• Flag potential safety, quality, schedule, or cost issues and help the team resolve them.
• Promote a strong culture of safety and accountability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in construction project coordination or management, preferably in infrastructure.
• Familiarity with project schedules, budgets, subcontractor coordination, and change orders.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Electrical infrastructure or data center construction experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Primavera or similar scheduling software preferred.
• Ability to visit project sites as needed.
