Job Description

About You:

PureGrid Electrical is looking for an Assistant Electrical Project Manager who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and driven by flawless execution. You are a proactive communicator who thrives on supporting the moving pieces of complex electrical projects, keeping a watchful eye on submittals, material tracking, RFIs, and daily field coordination.

You excel at supporting Project Managers in translating project designs into actionable plans for the field and assisting with communication between clients, engineers, and subcontractors. If you are a collaborative problem-solver who values safety, accuracy, and schedule, and you enjoy a fast-paced environment where you can learn, grow, and take ownership of key project workflows on industrial electrical scopes, you’ll fit right in.

A Day in the Life:

  • Project Support & Execution: Assist Project Managers with the day-to-day operations of industrial electrical projects, helping ensure tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
  • Field Coordination: Act as a reliable secondary point of contact for site superintendents and field crews, helping ensure they have up-to-date drawings, submittals, and material deliveries required to execute work.
  • Procurement & Materials Tracking: Log, track, and expedite long-lead electrical equipment (such as switchgear and transformers), coordinate jobsite material deliveries, and track purchase orders to prevent field delays.
  • Financial & Contract Administration: Help draft purchase orders, process subcontractor billings, assist with monthly pay applications, and compile documentation for change order requests.
  • Documentation & Tech Control: Own the daily administrative workflows in our construction management software—managing, logging, and tracking RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and drawing revisions from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Collaborative Communication: Participate in project alignment meetings with general contractors, engineers, and clients, helping document action items, progress updates, and schedule milestones.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, estimating, or assistant project management within the commercial or industrial electrical subcontracting space.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic to foundational understanding of electrical systems, power distribution equipment, and the ability to read construction blueprints and single-line diagrams.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience in the electrical trade.
  • Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern construction management tools; familiarity with Procore and Bluebeam Revu is strongly preferred.
  • Skills & Approach: Highly organized with strong attention to detail, proactive follow-through, and an eagerness to learn and grow within electrical project management.
  • Travel & Location: Ability to travel periodically to support nationwide job sites during key project phases or site visits.

What We Can Offer You:
