The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the day-to-day management of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) projects and works closely with the Project Manager to learn all aspects of project operations. This is an onsite, developmental role intended for an individual who can grow into increased project management responsibility. Sites are located in the Baltimore and DC area.
The APM will assist with personnel and subcontractor management, client communication, budgeting, contract compliance, deliverables, maintenance activities, scheduling, and overall project performance. Experience with HVAC, electrical, mechanical, construction, or facility maintenance projects is highly desirable.
Active TS/SCI clearance is strongly preferred.
A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Facilities Management, Project Management, or a related field is preferred but not required. Relevant technical, military, construction, facilities, or O&M experience may be considered in place of formal education.
This position is designed to develop the Assistant Project Manager's ability to manage the complete business and operational aspects of an O&M project. The APM will gain hands-on experience with contract interpretation and compliance, personnel, clients, subcontractors, budgets, maintenance operations, scheduling, quality, safety, and project performance, with the goal of progressively taking on greater project management responsibility.
Range between 90 and 110k based on experience and qualifications.
