Job Description

Our client, a leading Tier 1 company, is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their team for a surgical hub project based in Limerick The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a proven track record in supporting project management activities.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Support: Assist the Project Manager in developing detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
2. Team Coordination: Support the coordination of project teams, including subcontractors and site staff, ensuring efficient and effective project execution.
3. Quality Assurance: Help ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with relevant regulations and specifications.
4. Client Communication: Assist in serving as a point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
5. Risk Management: Help identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
6. Budget Management: Assist in monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented.
7. Site Supervision: Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and address any issues that arise.
8. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, and health and safety records.

Requirements:

1. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management support, preferably with a focus on healthcare projects.
2. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
3. Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
4. Certifications: Relevant certifications in construction management or project management are preferred.
5. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction processes, building codes, and health and safety regulations.
