Assistant Project Lead - Planning

At JLL, the Assistant Project Lead - Planning supports the Project Lead in managing and executing complex planning projects for real estate development and urban regeneration. This role involves assisting with project coordination, technical oversight, and stakeholder management to ensure successful delivery of planning projects within scope, budget, and timeline. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in urban planning, real estate development, or related fields, with excellent project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Lead in planning, coordinating, and overseeing urban planning and development projects.
  • Help develop and review planning applications, masterplans, and supporting documentation.
  • Support in managing project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, local authorities, and clients.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to inform planning strategies.
  • Assist in preparing planning reports, impact assessments, and project documentation.
  • Help identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues related to planning and development.
  • Support stakeholder engagement processes and public consultations.
  • Contribute to client presentations and progress meetings.
  • Assist in mentoring junior planners and team members.
  • Support the research and analysis of planning policies, market trends, and best practices.
  • Help prepare project proposals and fee estimates for planning services

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Real Estate Development, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in urban planning or development projects.
  • Strong knowledge of planning legislation, policies, and development processes.
  • Proficiency in GIS software, CAD, and other relevant planning tools.
  • Familiarity with environmental and sustainability assessment methods.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of sustainable urban design and smart city concepts.
  • Understanding of real estate market dynamics and feasibility studies.
  • Experience with 3D modeling and visualization software.
  • Familiarity with community engagement techniques and tools
