Our client, a semi-state organization, is seeking an Assistant Project Engineer to join their team in Limerick, supporting the delivery of long-term, crucial infrastructure projects This role offers excellent career development opportunities within a highly respected organization. The successful candidate will assist in planning, coordination, and execution of engineering works, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Support the Project Manager in planning and delivering infrastructure projects.
2. Assist in preparing and managing project budgets and schedules.
3. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution.
4. Monitor project progress and report on key milestones.
5. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
6. Prepare project documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
7. Participate in stakeholder meetings and provide technical input.
8. Identify and resolve issues to maintain project timelines.
9. Contribute to continuous improvement and quality assurance processes.

Requirements: Requirements:

1. Degree in Building, Engineering, Construction, or Project Management.
2. Full, clean driving license.
3. Minimum 3 years’ project engineering experience in a relevant environment
4. Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
5. Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and stakeholder coordination.
