Job Description

Our Residential department is looking for a full-time Assistant Program Director to join our team at one of our Beverly homes.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Pay Rate: $24.00 to $22.50 with MAPs

To provide quality living supports and be responsive to individuals and staff at all times. Teach, support and facilitate choices for people in their homes and within their communities. Assist with the day-to-day operation of the home.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support at the home, including individualized supports in transferring, bathing and grooming, and following specific dining protocols and treatments.
  • Document accurately and thoroughly, including in Inter-Team Communication Logs, Health Records, Daily Data Books, and Fire Drill Logs as outlined in Northeast Arc Policy and Procedures
  • Facilitate meaningful community experiences for each individual that foster skill acquisition, relationship building and independence.
  • Provide individuals with opportunities for growth, including learning new skills and increasing independence, whenever possible.
  • Participate in Supervision, Staff Meetings, QAs and other meetings/trainings as deemed necessary.
  • Ensure self and staff have the required trainings. Assist in training DSPs on house systems and the unique needs of each individual, including providing on-site supervision and support to staff.
  • Administer medications according to Northeast Arc Policies and Procedures and MAPs Regulations.
  • Support Drs appointments, ER and hospital visits and contact on-call nursing appropriately.
  • Maintain the home and agency vehicles through seasonal maintenance, routine cleaning and immediate reporting of issues or concerns
  • Complete ISP documentation, incident reporting and other necessary documentation in accordance with Northeast Policies and Procedures and funding Regulations.
  • Maintain and review records for individual and house bank accounts in accordance with Northeast Arc Policy and Procedures; assist with Rep Payee and entitlement paperwork as assigned.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed. Report critical issues (including behavioral, medical and maintenance) immediately to the Program Director and complete required documentation.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required. Associates or Bachelor's in a relevant field of study strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in a direct support role working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Strong communication skills and computer proficiency required.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation is required.
