Job Description

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of basic and translational research focused on pediatric cancer. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Board certified or eligible in pediatric hematology/oncology.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and research training of medical students, graduate students, residents, medical fellows in pediatric hematology/oncology or other disciplines, and post-doctoral fellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include serving as attending physician participating in the inpatient and outpatient care of children, adolescents and young adults with pediatric cancer.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include directing an independent NIH-funded research program focused on basic and translational research directly related to pediatric cancer. Candidates should have a track record of successful extramural funding.
