William Paterson University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position for the 2026-2027 academic year at the rank of Assistant Professor in the teacher education programs in the College of Education, Department of Teacher Education, PreK-12. The position starts August 25, 2026.
Department Overview
The Department of Teacher Education, PreK-12 offers undergraduate and graduate initial certification programs that prepare candidates to become effective, knowledgeable teachers in early childhood (P-3), elementary (K-6) and secondary (K-12) classrooms. With a commitment to serve the needs of our community, the department offers multiple pathways to teacher certification, including Bachelor’s; Master of Teaching (MAT), and alternate route options. In addition, the Master of Education (M.Ed.) in early childhood education program is designed for educators who wish to further advance their professional expertise and leadership skills.
