
The Department of Plastic Surgery at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas invites applications for a faculty position with an interest and focus in diabetic limb salvage and wound care. The applicant should have an interest in this topic and would involve clinical patient care, research and education. The position would be focused at Parkland Memorial Hospital and encompass care in the diabetic wound clinic, minor and major surgical procedures, education of residents and fellows and participating in funded research. Other responsibilities include conducting out-patient clinics: participate in didactic sessions, seminars and rounds with residents and fellows, development of basic science and clinical research expertise and development of an academic practice.
Applicants should have leadership, collaborative, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to make important contributions to the field of plastic surgery and podiatric medicine as well as the flexibility to meet the needs of a large and dynamic department. Candidates must have an DPM, must be board certified or board eligible in Plastic Surgery and be eligible for Texas medical licensure.
