
As an Assistant Professor in the Academic Clinician Track, the candidate will be responsible for the care of hospitalized children at locations within the Yale New Haven Health System. This includes coverage at our tertiary academic medical center in New Haven, CT as well as our community hospital sites in Bridgeport, Greenwich and New London. The candidate will also manage the care of otherwise healthy well newborns, supervise pediatric hospital medicine fellows, residents and medical students and contribute to the mission and values of the Section of Pediatric Hospital Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics at Yale.
Requirements include board certification or eligibility in pediatrics. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated interest and abilities in clinical care and education and will have excellent interpersonal skills. In addition, the candidate should have a track record in mentoring and educating residents in all aspects of pediatric medicine.

The final candidate, upon acceptance of a contingent offer of employment/faculty appointment, may be required to disclose whether they are, or have been, the subject of any disciplinary proceeding (investigation, hearing, etc.) at previous institutions or employers, and may also be subject to a background screening. Candidates who materially misrepresent information on their resume or other application materials are ineligible for hire/appointment. Final candidates may also be required to sign a release to allow Yale to solicit information regarding any substantiated conduct violations from current and/or past employers.
