Job Description

The Department of Psychology at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position to begin August 1, 2027, in Behavioral Neuroscience. The successful candidate will be expected to have a robust research agenda that will engage undergraduate students. The area of research specialty is open, but we have a preference for candidates whose research engages questions about linkages between the brain and behavior in animal models. We are interested in broadly trained candidates who will enhance departmental offerings in biological areas and strengthen the department’s contributions to the Bi-College (Bryn Mawr College and Haverford College) major in Neuroscience. The successful candidate will supervise student research and teach across the curriculum, including an introductory course in neuroscience, an intermediate-level survey course in behavioral neuroscience, an advanced course in the candidate’s areas of expertise, and a research methods laboratory course in behavioral neuroscience. A Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a closely related field is required by the start date, and post-doctoral research experience is desirable.

Bryn Mawr College is a distinguished liberal arts women’s college with a vibrant faculty, a talented staff, and an intellectually engaged student body eager to make a difference in the world. We have a student body of about 1,400 undergraduates and more than 300 graduate students in coeducational graduate programs in social work, humanities and science.
