The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of urology, Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS). Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must have done fellowship in URPS after finishing urology residency and be certified by the American Board of Urology or eligible for such certification.
Teaching responsibilities may include instruction of medical students, urology residents, and URPS fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include surgical and non-surgical care of patients (male and female) with URPS-related urological complaints such as lower urinary tract symptoms, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic floor disorders, etc.
The clinical practice for this position will be housed primarily at the Pennsylvania Hospital.
