
Tulane University School of Medicine’s Department of Surgery is currently seeking candidates for the Division of MIS/Bariatric Surgery, a clinical faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank.
Responsibilities will include working with the division to achieve its goals in each mission: administrative, education, research and clinical. In addition to clinical duties, it is incumbent to have a commitment to the education of fellows, residents and medical students.
Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degreeCandidatesshouldhavesatisfactorilycompleteda trainingprogramingeneralsurgeryaccreditedbytheAccreditationCouncilforGraduate Medical Education(ACGME)and be eligiblefor licensureinLouisiana.Successful candidates will have completed fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgery.The candidate should be comfortable in and have expertise and/or training in abdominal wall surgery, advanced bariatric surgeries, endoscopic procedures, and advanced minimally invasive techniques.
