To support the launch and growth of Pfeiffer University's new Outdoor Education and Leadership (ODEL) program by teaching, mentoring, and guiding students in academic and experiential learning settings. The faculty member will contribute to curriculum development, program assessment, and community engagement initiatives.
The position is a full-time, 10-month faculty position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Overall program coordination of the Outdoor Leadership and Education Program;
- Teach undergraduate courses in Outdoor Education and Leadership, including topics such as adventure education, environmental ethics, team development, and outdoor programming;
- Develop and maintain experiential learning opportunities using Pfeiffer's 340-acre campus and nearby natural resources;
- Advise and mentor students pursuing careers in outdoor education and leadership;
- Participate in curriculum development and program assessment;
- Engage in scholarly activity and professional development;
- Collaborate with faculty across disciplines including education, psychology, business, and environmental studies;
- Contribute to university service and community outreach initiatives;
- May supervise work-study students, student interns, teaching assistants, or field instructors;

Benefits:
