The University of the Cumberlands invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN) program. This position supports the delivery of high-quality undergraduate nursing education through teaching, curriculum development, student mentorship, and program engagement.

Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate nursing courses theory, lab, and clinical in seated and/or online environments, as assigned (75% of job responsibility).
- Maintain instructional excellence and adherence to course objectives, program outcomes, and accreditation standards
- Contribute to curriculum development, revision, and continuous program improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with program leadership to ensure consistency, rigor, and alignment across nursing programs, courses, and clinical experiences
- Participate in program assessment activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Support and maintain compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards (ACEN, CCNE, and Kentucky State Board of Nursing)
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to undergraduate nursing students
- Maintain scheduled office hours and provide timely, constructive feedback to students
- Participate in faculty meetings, university committees, and professional development activities
- Engage in service to the Forcht School of Nursing, University, profession, and community
- Support program growth, student recruitment, and retention initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Dean or Program Director.
- Oversee the development of the Interdisciplinary Simulation Center.
- Provide professional development to health science faculty to ensure simulation efforts are based on best practice and national standards.
- In collaboration with the Skills Lab Coordinator, oversee the inventory of simulation equipment and work with faculty to identify necessary resources.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure equipment is maintained and updated on a regular basis.
- Work toward a plan for a certified simulation center that meets national standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution (doctoral degree preferred)
- Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kentucky or compact state eligibility required)
- Minimum of two years of recent clinical nursing experience within the immediate past five years.
- Demonstrated expertise in a clinical area such as community health, leadership, medical-surgical, pediatrics, or mental health)
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and student success
Preferred Qualifications:
- CHSE National Certification in Simulation from INACL
