GENERAL SUMMARY

The University of Rochester School of Nursing is seeking a faculty candidate for a clinical faculty position. Faculty positions at the School of Nursing are based on 9 month appointments. Candidates must have an unencumbered RN license and relevant advanced practice experience as well as experience with professional nursing education, education technology, program development, and project management. Candidates are expected to have a record of scholarly work, a commitment to interdisciplinary approaches and teaching experience. Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience. Clinical faculty are eligible for promotion along the clinical track.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Teach groups of students (didactic, lab, and clinical) in the school’s ABSN and NP programs

· Participate in program faculty meetings and faculty committees as needed or selected.

· Assist in student clinical assessments; grading of assignments, exams, and care plans.

· Serve as a resource/advisor/mentor for students and hold office hours as needed

· Have oversight of Women’s Health NP Program that is to be created

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

· Doctoral degree (DNP, EdD, or PhD), current NYS licensure, demonstrated record of clinical excellence, superior interpersonal skills required.

· Post-offer health assessment required. Complete all agency requirements for clinical faculty compliance and credentialing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Experience in online teaching strongly preferred.

The referenced pay range represents the full base range of pay for this position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on market data, experience, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
