AssistantProfessor of Clinical – Interventional Radiology provides medical care to large array of patientsby providingminimally invasive image-guided diagnosis and treatment of diseaseThe Assistant Professorof Clinicalis focused on clinical care, research, and training of residents and fellows. As assigned by the Chairman, the faculty member will provide serviceat the following UM/JMH locationsin Miami Dade and Broward CountyUHealth SoleMia,UHealth Doral,Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center,UHealth Tower Hospital,Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center –Plantation, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center -Deerfield Beach,LennarFoundation Medical Center,andJackson Memorial HospitalIn addition totheselocations,the facultymemberswillseepatients in clinic, as assigned by the Chairman, at one or multiple locations atDesai Sethi Medical Center, UHealthSoleMia, UHealth Doral, andLennarFoundation Medical Center Clinic days to be assigned according to volume andstartsat 1half-daysession per week. Academic time to be assigned by the Chairman. Priority will be made for academic andclinictime to be given on the same day when possible.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Interpret interventional radiology imaging studies and perform interventional procedures.
Assist in the development and implementation of new and innovative interventional procedures
Be responsible for evaluating patients both pre and post intervention and contribute to the expansion of outpatient clinics for interventional procedures
Supervise performance of technical personnel.
Evaluate and consult new referrals and follow up patients in IR clinic.
Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of interventional imaging.
Provide interventional imaging consultation as requested.
Provide emergency patient care as required in the setting of an Interventional radiology practice.
Be part of the on-call schedule in Interventional Radiology
Assume administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Chairman related to the practice of interventional imaging.
Participate in teaching activities related to interventional radiology as required in:
Residency/fellowship training programs
Medical student education program
Technological radiology educational programs
Continuing medical education programs
Serve on Departmental, University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Medical Center committees and provide service to the same in other manners as requested.
Participate in research activities as an investigator and mentor.
In circumstances where emergency coverage is required as a result of shortages,including, but not limited to, callouts or FMLA-related absences,rotation assignments may be modified accordingly. Such adjustments may involve minimizing or temporarily reassigning academic, administrative, or research time to ensure continuity of clinical operations.

COREQUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Medical Degreefrom an accredited Medical School (or foreign equivalent),
Certification and Licensing:
Florida Medical License or equivalent
Florida DEA
ACLS, BLS, PALS
AmericanBoardof Radiology Certificationor still in Board Eligible Status
Completion of an ACGME approved Fellowshipor ResidentProgram in Vascular InterventionalRadiology
