The Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at Regis College is inviting applications for a full-time, term track Assistant Professor of Biology position. The person hired for this position will be teaching a broad range of courses including but not limited to Anatomy and Physiology I/II and Microbiology and will be expected to work on our Weston campus.
The STEM Department is a multi-disciplinary and highly collaborative department that houses programs in Biomedical Engineering, and Biology. As well, the Department includes faculty in the following disciplines: Chemistry, Mathematics, Lab Operations Management, and Physics. Faculty not only support their own majors, minors, and advisees within the department, they also teach non-majors who must complete undergraduate core requirements in the natural sciences, as well as students majoring in nursing and the allied health professions. It is expected that anyone hired as an Assistant Professor of Biology would collaborate within the department and across academic departments and programs.
We seek diverse candidates with accomplishments and experience in teaching a wide range of biology courses to diverse populations of undergraduate students using high impact practices and innovative pedagogy. We are particularly looking for candidates who can operate effectively in a diverse community of students and faculty and who share our vision of helping students reach their full potential through excellence in teaching and in developing innovative curriculum, labs, and research experiences for undergraduate students. Anyone hired for this position should be able to place the history and practice of Biology within broader conversations concerning diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice.

Compensation: $69,603 annually
