
The Neurodegenerative Disease Research Center and School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University invites applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Neuroimmunology/neuroinflammation with an anticipated start date of August 16, 2026 Research areas of interest include but are not limited to neuroimmunology and neuroinflammatory processes as they apply to the molecular, cellular, and circuit-mediated mechanisms underlying nervous system function, especially within the context of aging and neurodegenerative diseases. Other relevant areas of expertise include how neuroimmunology and neuroinflammation play a role in cognitive decline.
About the research center
The Arizona State University (ASU)-Banner Neurodegenerative Disease Research Center (NDRC) is led by recently appointed Founding Director, Dr. Jeffrey H. Kordower. This center currently has 8 full-time faculty and is currently undergoing an aggressive hiring process to expand our efforts. The NDRC is housed in an extremely modern lab facility in the Biodesign Institute in Tempe, AZ with contiguous space to the animal facility.
