The successful candidate will serve as a vital bridge connecting several research centers at Brown: RNA Biology, Aging, and Alzheimer's Disease. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research addresses fundamental molecular mechanisms—such as protein misfolding in aging, structural bases of neurodegenerative disorders, or RNA/protein complex machinery—and who can translate these insights across multidisciplinary collaborations.
The candidate will also serve as a primary user, advocate, and key contributor to the shared Structural Biology Core Facility in the Division of Biology and Medicine, driving high-impact collaborative research across the Division of Biology and Medicine.
Candidates should submit the following:
(1) a cover letter describing their interest in the position (including general field of research) and their qualifications for this position;
(2) a three-page research statement, summarizing past achievements and detailing plans for an independent, externally funded research program;
(3) a statement of Teaching Philosophy & Mentorship outlining teaching interests in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or Genetics (two pages maximum);
(4) a one-page service statement;
(5) a curriculum vitae;
(6) three to five publications;
(7) applicants must have reference letter writers upload three letters that speak to the candidate’s potential as a scholar, colleague, mentor, and teacher directly to Interfolio.
