Assistant Professor, Dept. of Speech, Language and Communication Sciences
The Department of Speech, Language, and Communication Sciences (SLCS) at Xavier University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2027. We seek a collaborative teacher-scholar who is excited to help build a new academic program from the ground up and whose teaching and clinical expertise will strengthen the Department's undergraduate curriculum in speech-language pathology.
The teaching expectation is 18 credit hours annually for this tenure-track faculty position when a faculty member meets the College’s active scholarship standards.
SLCS currently offers an undergraduate program in speech, language, and communication sciences, with a graduate program in speech-language pathology planned to launch in 2031. The letter of interest should address the position's qualifications and describe the applicant's teaching philosophy, research agenda, clinical and supervisory experience (as applicable), and record of professional and institutional service or plans to contribute in these areas.
