Job Description
Creighton University College of Nursing seeks qualified candidates for a 12-month, full-time, non-tenure track faculty appointment to teach at the nursing program(s) in Phoenix, Arizona. Appointment will be at the rank commensurate with experience.
- Conduct classroom instruction as well as supervise students in clinical and simulation/lab experiences in the faculty’s area of clinical expertise, with flexibility to supervise students in community-based settings.
- Participate in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Contribute to the College of Nursing’s expanding research portfolio, and fulfill the responsibilities associated with teaching, service, and scholarship commensurate with the College’s Standards of Performance for Rank and Tenure, as well as the University guidelines for advancement in rank and tenure.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (nursing preferred).
- 2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
- Evidence of teaching experience in didactic, simulation and clinical settings.
- Evidence of mentoring experience with students and peers.
- For early career faculty: evidence of scholarly productivity and an emerging program of research is expected.
- Candidates must have a current unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the state of Arizona, or eligibility for licensure.
