
The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a tenure-ineligible Assistant Professor position on the Clinical Faculty track, specializing in interventional spine care. This primary outpatient position will emphasize management of patients in need of spine care through both clinic and procedure visits. The candidate will also provide night and weekend call coverage UVA-Encompass Health Joint Venture Rehabilitation Hospital on a rotational basis.
This position will remain open until filled. The University will perform background checks on all new hires prior to employment. A completed pre-employment health and drug screening is required for this position.

A MD or DO is required, as is board-certification or board-eligibility by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Candidates who have completed a fellowship program in interventional spine or pain management will be given special consideration. The incumbent must be committed to a career in academic medicine and interested in combining clinical practice with resident education and/or research.
