Assistant Professor - Clinical Child & Adolescent Psychologist
AcademicThe Faculty Clinical Track emphasizes professional service in clinical settings. This role will provide inpatient adolescent therapy, outpatient clinical care, and school-based health care services. This role will serve as a faculty supervisor for the Clinical Child Psychology Internship and Fellowship programs, providing advanced training in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and families.
Job Duties:
Teaching & Education 0.10 FTE
Supervise, instruct and evaluate psychology trainees on assigned educational clinical rotation(s) in accordance with departmental program policies
Prepare and present formal lectures for psychology trainees as required by the department
Prepare and update the educational goals and expectations of assigned educational clinical rotation(s)
Engage in education committees as assigned
Clinical Services 0.85 FTE
Provide adolescent unit programming on an inpatient setting
Provide adolescent consult services on an inpatient setting
Provide services to children and adolescents in the KU Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences clinic
Provide services to school aged youth on a school based healthcare program
Research & Scholarship 0.05 FTE
Research & Scholarship endeavors in support of P&T, with approval from the Chair

Required Qualifications:
Education:
Must have completed all requirements for a PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology in an accredited program.
This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements, institutional standards of academic and professional excellence, alignment with peer institution benchmarks, and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community.
Certifications/Licenses:
Must be able to practice and obtain permanent license in the State of Kansas as a licensed Psychologist.
