
The Greenwood School of Music invites applications for an Assistant Professor Artist/Teacher of Voice: Bass or Baritone. The successful candidate will build and sustain a successful voice studio, as well as play an active role in the collegial support and advancement of the Choral/Vocal Area, its curriculum and various programs. Additional teaching assignments may be made according to the successful candidate’s expertise and needs of the School of Music.
In addition to instruction, all music faculty members are expected to engage in service to the university and their profession, to be productive as an artist/scholar, and to promote an inclusive workplace and learning environment.
Work will begin on August 16, 2023. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience and is contingent upon funding.
The University (25,000 students at its main campus in Stillwater) is located approximately 65 miles from Tulsa and Oklahoma City. The Greenwood School of Music has thirty-six full-time and thirteenpart-time faculty members and is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. The School offers the degrees of Master of Music (with options in applied music or conducting); Bachelor of Music (with options in music education and performance); Bachelor of Arts; and Bachelor of Science in Music Industry. Master’s degree required, earned doctorate preferred. Candidates without a doctorate must document equivalent experience and expertise, including evidence of an active performance and teaching record.
