Job Description

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Neuropathology. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Board Certification/Eligibility in Neuropathology and Anatomic Pathology are Required along with eligibility for unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Teaching responsibilities may include lectures, didactics and training of medical students, residents, and fellows in Perelman School of Medicine and at Penn Medicine Hospitals, primarily at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Clinical responsibilities may include surgical and medical neuropathology service, which in addition to sign-out includes intraoperative consultations (frozens), muscle and nerve biopsies, telepathology, consults, presentations at intradepartmental or multidisciplinary conferences.
