Assistant Principal Elementary School

GEO 21st Century Charter School in Gary, IN is seeking an Assistant Principal for our Elementary School division. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced educator who is passionate about working with elementary school students. As the Assistant Principal, you will work closely with the Principal to ensure the smooth operation of the school and provide support to teachers, staff, and students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Principal in managing the day-to-day operations of the Elementary School division
  • Support and supervise teachers and staff to ensure high-quality instruction and student achievement
  • Collaborate with the Principal to develop and implement school policies and procedures
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the school's curriculum and instructional programs
  • Monitor student progress and provide support to students as needed
  • Assist in the management of student behavior and discipline
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, staff, and students
  • Attend meetings and events as required




Requirements

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Education or related field- Valid Indiana Administrator License
  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a middle school setting
  • Experience in school administration or leadership preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
