Assistant Press Operator

Location: Lenexa, KS

Shift: 3rd Shift

Schedule: 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., Sunday-Thursday

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Press Assistant to join our flexible packaging manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll work alongside a Press Operator to help prepare, run, and maintain high‑speed printing equipment. What You Will Do

• Assist the Press Operator with preparing the press and all job‑related materials
• Monitor and adjust inks as needed, including checking ink viscosity on an hourly basis
• Remove finished film from the machine and stage it on pallets for pickup
• Retrieve and return inks to the ink room and clean machine components between jobs
• Handle and manage hazardous waste in compliance with safety and environmental requirements
• Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and meet OSHA standards
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment
• Complete rework tasks as needed

What You Have to Offer

• Ability to read, write, and follow simple, clear instructions
• Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
