Schedule: Monday-Friday + Weekend Coverage

We are seeking a Bilingual Assistant Plant Manager to help lead our manufacturing operation and support a dedicated team of fewer than 20 employees. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role that requires someone who can effectively manage daily production activities while building strong relationships with employees on the plant floor. The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading from the front, working alongside the crew, and ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety expectations are achieved.

This position is not an office-based management role; it requires daily engagement in plant operations and active participation in production when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the daily management and coordination of plant operations.
  • Direct and support the activities of an established production team.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure operational objectives are met.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the production site, providing leadership, coaching, and guidance to employees.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Support employee training, development, and performance management efforts.
  • Work closely with plant leadership to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and work to resolve them efficiently.
  • Track productivity and help drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a key communication link between management and production employees.
  • Step into production roles when staffing shortages occur, absences arise, or additional hands are needed to meet customer demands.
  • Lead by example through a strong work ethic and willingness to perform hands-on production work.

What we're looking for:

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required.
  • Previous manufacturing, production, or industrial operations experience required.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing production priorities.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with standard business software.
  • Ability to perform physical production work when required.
  • Mechanically inclined w/ the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance and repairs using hand and specialized tools
  • Comfortable stepping in to support troubleshooting and maintenance needs to keep operations running efficiently
  • Assist in managing plant inventory, materials, and equipment readiness
