Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Assistin the preparation of ingredients for pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods
  • Accurately measure and mix ingredients according to established recipes
  • Operate baking equipment such as mixers, ovens, and proofing cabinets
  • Help decorate cakes, tarts, and plated desserts in line with presentation standards
  • Follow recipes and guidelines set by the Pastry Chef to ensure consistency
  • Maintainhigh standardsfor taste, texture, and appearance
  • Perform quality checks throughout and after the preparation process
  • Keep the pastry station clean, organized, and properly stocked
  • Uphold hygiene and food safety standards at all times
  • Wash and sanitize tools, equipment, and work surfaces regularly
  • Assistwith inventory checks and restocking of pastry ingredients
  • Notify the Pastry Chef orpurchasingteam of low stock or spoiled items
  • Help receive andproperly storedeliveries
  • Work efficiently to meet production deadlines, particularly during peak service times
  • Assistwith miseenplace to ensure readiness for daily service and events
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate dessert service with meal courses
  • Support the Pastry Chef in training junior team members or interns
  • Take responsibility for managing the pastry station in the Pastry Chef’s absence
  • Stay informed about current pastry trends, techniques, and seasonal updates
  • Learn new recipes and refine baking skills under the guidance of the Pastry Chef

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Minimumof 5 years of experience in pastry arts
  • Strongcommunicationskills, both written and verbal, with the ability tomaintaineffective relationships with members, management, staff, ownership, prospective buyers, and vendors
  • Excellentorganizational skills and strong attention to detail and quality
  • Enjoysworking with members, guests, and children in a friendly and engaging manner
  • Provenability to motivate and lead team members with strong interpersonal and human relations skills
  • Capableof working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Ableto prioritize tasks, adapt to changing conditions, and perform well under pressure
  • Highlevelof personal accountability and strong work ethic
  • Self-motivated with the ability to stay organized and manage time effectively

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GEDrequired; anassociate’s degree in Baking and Pastry Artsor equivalent relevant work experience is preferred.

APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS:

Weekdays, weekends, and Holidays, schedule flexible as business dictates.

Mustpossessa valid Texas Driver’s License and meet thedriversafety policy requirements.

While performing the duties of this position, the employeeis regularly required tostandand move aroundfor the entirety or majority of theirshift.The employee may be working outside or inside and indifferent typesof weather including excessive heat, cold temperatures,rainand sunshine. While performing the duties of this position, the employeeis also regularly required topush, pull, bend,liftand/or move up to 50 pounds. Likely thisrole will require the ability to drive a golf cart to transport from one area of the property to another in a safe and secure manner.
